“I haven’t been tweeting for Khabib [for] at least 4 or 5 years. I used to tweet for him,” - Ali Abdelaziz to Inside Fighting when asked if Khabib’s tweet about Charles Oliveira pulling out of UFC 280 was posted by him.

Ali Abdelaziz is known for being one of the biggest managers in MMA - who also happens to be one of the most colorful tweeters on behalf of his fighters. Fans have speculated for years over which controversial tweets made by fighters represented by Ali might have actually been tweeted by Abdelaziz himself.

The most recent instance of fans believing Ali was tweeting on behalf of his fighters - something he openly admits to doing, is a post from Khabib about the upcoming bout between Islam Makhachev and Charles Oliveira.

Inside Fighting’s Andrew Capucetti caught up with Ali at the ADCC World Championships at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he asked Abdelaziz if that was really Khabib - or himself. “100%, it was not me. If it was me, I’d let you know,” he responded.

When asked about “Khabib’s” comments about Oliveira pulling out, Ali stated “I personally think he’ll show up, you know, he’s a warrior … I think he’s going to show up, him and Islam are going to put on a beautiful event.”

Ali later claimed that he “used to tweet for Khabib when we began, every day, 4 or 5 times a day. [It’s] been 4 or five years, I have not tweeted for him … he locked me out!” When asked if he will ever tweet for Khabib again, Ali responded, “I hope! I hope he’ll grant me access again.”

Whether or not fans believe Abdelaziz when he says he no longer tweets for Khabib, one thing is certain - Khabib should triple check his passwords.
