“The Notorious” has since made statements following the confiscation of his Bentley.

Conor McGregor finds himself in trouble with the law again after being arrested for dangerous driving last Tuesday, the 22nd of March, in west Dublin. He was taken in on several traffic violations, the details of which have not been released. According to Irish authorities, McGregor passed sobriety tests held at the station.

He is scheduled to make an appearance at the Blanchardstown district court in relation to the violations in April. McGregor’s manager, Karen Kessler, told ESPN that Conor was driving to the gym when he was stopped by police.

It isn’t the first roadways troubles the Irish superstar has found himself in, after paying a roughly $500 fine for speeding back in 2017. However, the charges this time are more serious, with the maximum fine being around $5,500. The court could even impose a prison sentence up to 6 months, though that is extremely unlikely.

Conor McGregor’s vehicle was impounded during the incident, a Bentley Continental GT valued around $200,000. It was later returned to The Notorious after he posted bail. McGregor posted on his Instagram account only a few hours after the incident, a picture of a mug of tea with a muffin. He has since deleted the post, which had the caption “Tea always helps…Muffins too.”

The Irish MMA star also took to Twitter, stating that he was getting off the exit for his gym on the M50 Highway in Dublin when police pulled him over. Like the Instagram post, the tweet has since been deleted. It read: “That is the auxiliary lane on Dublin’s M50. I was preparing to take the exit that takes me to my gym.”

Footage was later posted on Twitter that shows the moments leading up to McGregor’s arrest.

Stockton Badass Nate Diaz chimed in after two of his former Octagon opponents found themselves in trouble with the law.

This comes on the heels of Diaz stating that he would love to fight Conor in a trilogy bout, if only McGregor could.

Henry Cejudo also seems interested in a McGregor fight. One of the UFC’s other champ-champs, Cejudo has been campaigning for a return fight against Conor McGregor for the past few weeks.

All of this comes off the heels of McGregor expressing his interest in a UFC welterweight championship fight against Kamaru Usman. Despite a brutal leg-break that saw him lose two consecutive fights against Dustin Poirier, the McGregor bout still represents a chance at a red-panty night for any fighter. Before accepting the fight against Justin Gaethje, even Charles Oliveira was interested in fighting McGregor.

Unfortunately, McGregor is no stranger to problems with the law. A court document revealed that McGregor has 18 violations on his record, mostly traffic violations. It’s unlikely that any severe punishment is dished out (McGregor can certainly afford the best legal team money can buy) and even less likely that this incident will have any impact on Conor’s UFC return.
