GERVONTA ‘TANK’ DAVIS ARRESTED FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IN FLORIDA, RELEASED ON BOND
Davis’ January 7 bout against Hector Luis Garcia may be at risk of cancellation following the boxing star’s arrest.

They call him “Tank,” but he’s found himself in the can – again. The incident occurred Tuesday night in Parkland, Florida, where the undefeated boxer was apprehended and taken to Broward County Jail in Fort Lauderdale. He was released on $1000 bond and ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim. Details of the arrest have not been released.
While his record in boxing remains a perfect 27-0, his record with the law isn’t so flawless. This is the second time Davis has been charged with domestic violence after a February 2020 incident in which he allegedly struck his ex-girlfriend. That case was discharged, but Davis is also scheduled to appear in a Baltimore Court for his alleged involvement in a November 2020 hit-and-run.
It’s too early to know whether this will affect Davis’ upcoming bout against Hector Luis Garcia, scheduled for January 7th. Davis had made his career plans for 2023 well known – he wanted to fight 3 times, starting with Hector Luis Garcia and culminating in a super fight against Ryan Garcia. As of this time, it’s unclear whether this arrest will have any impact on his upcoming bout.
