Jailton Almeida Extends Winning Streak, Chokes Out Rozenstruik in Round 1 at UFC Charlotte
Jailton Almeida defeated Jairzinho Rozenstruik via rear-naked choke in the first round of their UFC Charlotte main event.
“Malhadinho” is a problem in the UFC’s heavyweight division. He made quick work of 9th ranked Jairzinho Rozenstruik in the main event of UFC Charolette – choking out the Surinamese fighter in the very first round.
The heavyweight grappling phenom extends his winning streak to 14 – including 5 consecutive victories since joining the UFC. To put in perspective just how dominant he’s been, the man has only taken two significant strikes during his UFC tenure. That’s Khamzat Chimaev level of grappling dominance – pointed out by Daniel Cormier during their Octagon interview.
It was a big statement win – putting the UFC’s heavyweight division on notice. No man brings the grappling threat that Jailton Almeida does – and he’s lined himself up perfectly for a showdown in the top 5.
In fact, he even made a callout – another man with heavy hands, Tai Tuivasa.
