Mackenzie Dern defeats Angela Hill via unanimous decision at UFC Vegas 73
Mackenzie Dern wanted to make a statement after dropping her last fight – and she did exactly that in the main event of UFC Vegas 73. She put the works on Angela Hill, dominating from pillar to post en route to a unanimous decision victory.
Dern earned the third stripe on her blackbelt after the fight, but it was her hands that stood out throughout the fight. She came out throwing bombs and even dropped Hill early in the fight – finding herself back in the win column after losing her last bout to Yan Xiaonan last October.
After the fight, Dern called for a matchup with Rose Namajunas. If Rose isn’t available, Dern wants a chance for redemption over Xiaonan – who just knocked out former strawweight champion Jessica Andrade at UFC 288.
