Mike Perry Forces Luke Rockhold to QUIT, Faces Off with Conor McGregor at BKFC 41
Mike Perry overwhelmed Luke Rockhold at BKFC 41 – prompting him to invite Conor McGregor for a face-off inside the squared circle!
Mike Perry swarmed Luke Rockhold in the main event of BKFC 41 – making the former UFC middleweight champion retire from the fight in round 2. However, Perry’s biggest victory may have come after the fight, when he invited Conor McGregor to square off against him inside the BKFC ring.
“The Notorious” stole a bit of Perry’s thunder – walking into the ring with the BKFC strap already over his shoulder. But the most shocking revelation came he revealed his interest in joining the promotion at some point in the future.
“I’m into this game, I’d be into this, yeah!” exclaimed McGregor on the mic. “I’ve already the belt. How am I showing up here and I’ve already got the belt! Come get it baby! Come get the strap, baby!”
A star-studded lineup came out to watch Mike Perry take on Luke Rockhold in his BKFC debut, including Justin Gaethje, Cowboy Cerrone, Kamaru Usman, and Trevor Whittman. Obviously, none bigger than “The Notorious” himself.
As for the fight – things were competitive early. Both Luke Rockhold and Mike Perry landed heavy shots. However, going into the second, it was the body work from Perry that made the difference. Shortly into the second, Rockhold told Dan Mirgliotta he had enough – pointing to his mouth. It’s unknown at this time if Rockhold suffered an injury that forced him to retire.
It was certainly an eventful night for the biggest fight card the BKFC has put on – and the reaction from fight fans and fighters was overwhelmingly positive.
