The weigh-ins for the upcoming Ultimate Fighting Championship PPV are done, and the two main title fights have been greenlighted.

The UFC 273 headliner sees current UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski putting his belt on the line against Chan Sung Jung. Volkanovski (23-1, 10-0 UFC) is currently riding an impressive 20-bout winning streak, including ten consecutive UFC triumphs. In his latest appearance, “The Great” dominated Brian Ortega en route to a unanimous decision victory in the UFC 266 main event. The Australian had no issues making the championship weight as he hit the scales at 144.5 pounds.

Better known as “The Korean Zombie,” Jung (17-6, 7-3 UFC) has racked up three victories in his latest four fights. Before losing to Brian Ortega at UFC Fight Night 180, Jung was riding a two-bout winning streak after earning consecutive first-round TKO wins against Frankie Edgar and Renato Carneiro. Most recently, he upended Dan Ige in the UFC on ESPN 25 main event. The South Korean contender weighed 144.5 pounds.

In the co-main event, the bantamweight division is going to crown its undisputed king as titleholder Aljamain Sterling is taking on interim champion Petr Yan. In their first clash, Sterling (20-3, 12-3 UFC) captured the belt via disqualification after Yan landed an illegal knee as his opponent was grounded with a mere 31 seconds left in their UFC 259 encounter. “Funk Master” will also put his six straight victories on the line at UFC 273. On the scales, Sterling came in at 134.5 pounds.

Former titleholder Yan (16-2, 8-1 UFC) captured the interim 135-pound crown after outstriking Cory Sandhagen at UFC 267. The Russian champion has won 11 of his past 12 bouts, including finishes over mixed martial arts legends like Jose Aldo and Urijah Faber. The scales indicated no more than 134 pounds when “No Mercy” hit the scales.

During the ceremony, a couple of contestants missed their contracted weight. Kay Hansen was supposed to come in under the women’s strawweight division limit, but she hit the scales at 118.5 pounds. Additionally, Julio Arce (136.5) weighted half a pound more than the bantamweight limit ahead of his clash with Daniel Santos.

UFC 273 will go down at the Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida, on April 9. The preliminary card will air on ESPN+ starting at 6 p.m. ET. Fans can watch the main card at 10 p.m. ET.
