UFC 277: Peña vs. Nunes is live from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, USA. Headlining the card is the rematch between Julianna Peña and Amanda Nunes for the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship, co-mained by an interim UFC Flyweight Championship between Brandon Moreno and Kai Kara-France.

Peña defeated Nunes via rear-naked choke in the second round at UFC 269 in December of last year, securing one of the biggest underdog victories in UFC championship history. Their rivalry has continued to gain momentum since then, as the two competed against each other as coaches for the 30th season of The Ultimate Fighter.

UFC 277 was originally slated to feature a middleweight bout between Paulo Costa and Luke Rockhold. The fight was canceled due to undisclosed reasons.

Two fighters missed weight during the UFC 277 official weigh-ins. Joselyne Edwards was 1.5 pounds over the bantamweight limit at 137.5 lbs, while Orion Osce was 2.5 pounds over the welterweight limit at 172.5 lbs.
