Ultimate Fighting Championship fans were robbed of a legit heavyweight clash due to a questionable referee decision.
Sergei Pavlovich (16-1, 4-1 UFC) surprised everyone with a quick stoppage over former UFC heavyweight championship challenger Derrick Lewis (26-10, 1NC; 17-8 UFC). "The Black Beast" was rocked by a well-timed counter right hook early in the fight but was defending himself intelligently in the subsequent assault. Pavlovich managed to drop his adversary, who recovered from the shots and was getting up when referee Dan Miragliotta called the end of the fight. Despite Lewis' protests, the official end came 55 seconds into the opening frame. Pavlovich took home his fourth consecutive victory.
