The Ultimate Fighting Championship is back with a brand-new card that will go down at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, this weekend.

In the UFC Columbus main event, 31-year-old Curtis Blaydes will attempt to move up the UFC heavyweight rankings by defeating Chris Daukaus. Blaydes (15-3, 1NC; 10-3, 1NC UFC) is coming off a decision victory over Jairzinho Rozenstruik at UFC 266. Prior, “Razor” lost to Derrick Lewis as “The Black Beast” knocked out his opponent with a tremendous punch that halted the action at the 1:26 mark of the second stanza at UFC Fight Night 185. Blaydes is the all-time UFC heavyweight leader in takedowns and will test his opponent’s defense for real. On the scales, Blaydes weighed in at 259 pounds.

Daukaus (12-4, 4-1 UFC) is eager to bounce back after suffering a first-round knockout at the hands of Lewis in December. That loss halted Daukaus’ four consecutive first-round knockout triumphs that the former Philadelphia cop scored in his UFC stint. Daukaus stepped on the scale weighing 243 pounds.

In the co-main event, Alexa Grasso (13-3, 5-3 UFC) faces Joanne Wood (15-7, 7-7 UFC) in a women’s flyweight clash. Both contestants had no issues in coming in under the 125-pound limit.

UFC Columbus — also known as UFC on ESPN 33 — will air on ESPN and ESPN+ on Saturday, March 26. The preliminary card will begin at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT, while fans can watch the main card at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.
