UFC on ESPN 32 Weigh-In Results: All Fighters Made Weight
The Ultimate Fighting Championship is back with its first event in 2022.
The UFC on ESPN 32 headliner is a featherweight affair between Calvin Kattar and Giga Chikadze. Kattar (22-5, 6-3 UFC) is coming off a one-sided decision loss to Max Holloway in the UFC on ABC 1 headliner. On that occasion, “The Boston Finisher” displayed a considerable amount of heart by surviving the relentless striking of the former 145-pound kingpin. The loss snapped a two-bout winning streak. Now, the New England Cartel representative is looking to bounce back in the win column. Kattar had no issues making weight as he hit the scale at 146 pounds.
In his latest appearance, Chikadze (14-2, 7-0 UFC) smashed former Ring of Combat champion Edson Barboza in the third frame of their UFC on ESPN 30 clash. “Ninja” is running an impressive nine-bout streak and is currently aiming for a spot in the top five ranking of the division. Chikadze stepped on the scale at 146 pounds.
The co-main event sees a heavyweight clash between Chase Sherman (15-8, 3-7 UFC) and Jake Collier (12-6, 4-5 UFC). Both fighters hit the mark within the heavyweight division’s limit as Sherman weighed 250 pounds and Collier 264.5. This clash has been promoted to the favorable spot after the originally scheduled co-main event between Muslim Salikhov and Michel Pereira fell off the card following Salikhov’s withdrawal due to undisclosed reasons.
All the remaining fighters on the card made weight ahead of the event.
UFC on ESPN 32, also known as UFC Vegas 46, will go down at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Jan. 15. The event will air on ESPN and ESPN+ starting at 5 p.m. ET.
