The Ultimate Fighting Championship is ready for its first event in France.

The upcoming UFC Paris event is headlined by a heavyweight clash affair between former interim UFC heavyweight titleholder contenders Ciryl Gane and Tai Tuivasa. Gane (10-1, 7-1 UFC) is looking to bounce back on track following the stinging defeat he suffered at the hands of Francis Ngannou in their heavyweight championship unification bout at UFC 270. Prior, the "Bon Gamin" put on a 10-bout winning streak, including victories over Derrick Lewis, Alexander Volkov, and former heavyweight kingpin Junior dos Santos. The Frenchman looked lean on the scale as he weighed 247 pounds.

Tuivasa (14-3, 8-3 UFC) is eager to get the much-desired first title shot. "Bam Bam" has walked through his past five opponents, finishing them all inside the distance. In his latest appearance, Tuivasa crushed Derrick Lewis thanks to a vicious elbow. The Australian fighter stepped on the scales at 266 pounds, the division's max.

In the co-headliner, former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker will take on surging contender Marvin Vettori. Whittaker (23-6, 14-4 UFC) comes off a defeat at the hands of Israel Adesanya in their championship affair at UFC 271, while Vettori has recently imposed his will over Paulo Costa. Both fighters weighed 186 pounds.

UFC Paris, also known as UFC Fight Night 209, will go down at the Accor Arena in Paris, France. The card will stream live on ESPN+ on Saturday. Prelims begin at 12 p.m. ET/9 a.m. PT, while the main card airs at 3 p.m. ET/12 p.m. PT.
