UFC Vegas 52 Weigh-In Results: All Fighters Hit the Mark
The Ultimate Fighting Championship is back at the UFC Apex with another exciting event.
Ahead of the upcoming UFC Vegas 52 card, all 24 contestants made weight. On Saturday, a strawweight tilt will headline the event as former strawweight champion Jessica Andrade faces Amanda Lemos. Andrade (22-9, 13-7 UFC) is coming off a first-round stoppage against Cynthia Calvillo with only six seconds left in their clash at UFC 266. “Bate Estaca” has won six of her past nine bouts and is looking for another chance to challenge the division’s queen, Valentina Shevchenko. Andrade stepped on the scale weighing 115.5 pounds.
Former Jungle Fight champion Lemos (11-1-1, 5-1 UFC) hopes to quickly climb the rankings with a victory over the former divisional queen. “Amandinha” is riding a five-fight winning streak. Recently, she eked out a split decision from Angela Hill at UFC Fight Night 199. Lemos easily made weight at 115 pounds on the dot.
In the co-main event, UFC veteran Clay Guida will attempt to stop up-and-coming Peruvian fighter Claudio Puelles. Former Strikeforce titleholder Guida (37-21, 17-15 UFC) scored a surprising finish over Leonardo Santos forcing his opponent to tap to a rear-naked choke in Round 2 at UFC on ESPN 31. In turn, “The Ultimate Fighter Latin America” Season 3 finalist Puelles became the first fighter in UFC history to perform more than one kneebar submission after defeating Chris Gruetzemacher at UFC on ESPN 31, following up on the Felipe Silva victory in 2018. Both Guida and “El Nino” had no issues hitting the contracted weight, as Puelles recorded 155.5 pounds while the 40-year-old Guida hit the scales at 154.
UFC Vegas 52, also known as UFC Fight Night 205, will go down on April 23. The preliminary card starts at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT, while the main card airs at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT. The show will stream entirely on ESPN+.
