UFC Vegas 56 Weigh-in Results: All 28 Fighters Make Weight
After taking a weekend off, the Ultimate Fighting Championship is ready for its next event.
The UFC Vegas 56 headliner features a heavyweight tilt between Alexander Volkov and Jairzinho Rozenstruik. Former Bellator MMA and M-1 Global champion Volkov (34-10, 8-4 UFC) has alternated results in his latest assignments. “Drago” is eager to bounce back on track following a first-round submission loss at the hands of Tom Aspinall at UFC Fight Night 204 in March. “Drago” has victories over the likes of Marcin Tybura, Alistair Overeem, and Walt Harris on his resume. The Russian fighter looked good on the scales as he weighed in at 256.5 pounds.
34-year-old Rozenstruik (12-3, 6-3 UFC) recorded six wins in nine UFC appearances, all by knockout or technical knockout. “Bigi Boy” is coming off a decision loss to Curtis Blaydes at UFC 266 in September. The Rizin Fighting Federation vet had no issues hitting the scales below the heavyweight division’s limit as he came in at 259 pounds.
The co-main event sees an intriguing 145-pound matchup between Dan Ige and Movsar Evloev. Ige (15-5, 7-4 UFC) is 2-3 in his latest five assignments and is coming off back-to-back losses to Chang Sung Jung and Josh Emmett at UFC on ESPN 25 and UFC 269, respectively. Evloev (15-0, 5-0 UFC) aims to keep his record unblemished and score his first finish inside the Octagon. On the scales, “50K” weighed 145.5 pounds, while the Russian fighter 146 pounds on the dot.
All the remaining contestants made weight without trouble.
UFC Vegas 56, also known as UFC Fight Night 207, will go down at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, on June 4. The card will stream on ESPN+ with the prelims beginning at 1 p.m. ET/9 a.m. PT and the main card at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT.
