Chito Vera Says Sean O’Malley Rematch Would Be Epic, Tells O’Malley to “Suck a D**k!”
Chito Vera says rematch with Sean O’Malley would be epic, but isn’t stressing over Cejudo potentially getting the title shot
Chito Vera would love a chance to beat Sean O’Malley again – but isn’t going to sweat it if “Suga” doesn’t want the smoke.
During his appearance on the latest episode of the Fight SZN podcast, Vera told Inside Fighting’s Andrew Capucetti and Jesse Rowe that O’Malley needs the rematch more than he does.
“I don’t give a f**k,” Vera responded when asked about O’Malley’s recent comments that he may choose the Henry Cejudo fight rather than the rematch with him. “[O’Malley] needs me, I don’t need him. I already beat him.”
Vera beat O’Malley via TKO at UFC 252 back in August 2020, still the only fighter to ever defeat “Suga.” Now that O’Malley is champion, many expect that the two will run it back. Vera was O’Malley’s first callout as soon as becoming bantamweight champion – stating his desire to fight Vera in Las Vegas this December.
“I’m just cool as a cucumber,” Vera continued. “If [the rematch] happens, epic. If not? [O’Malley], go and suck a d**k!”
