Don Frye Says Fellow ‘Caveman’ Nate Diaz Will Destroy Jake Paul
MMA legend Don Frye picks Nate Diaz to beat Jake Paul
Nate Diaz vs. Jake Paul is one of the biggest boxing fights of the year – and Don Frye is team Diaz all the way.
Frye spoke with Inside Fighting’s Andrew Capucetti, sharing his insights on Diaz vs Paul and what makes Nate so tough.
“I got Diaz, man. Diaz is my boy” Frye responded when asked who he’s rolling with. “Nate’s going to whoop him … you can’t out-condition the dude … he’s got the technique and the knowledge.”
Frye is a man who believes the best fighters use their inner caveman – guys like himself and Diaz. “Absolutely,” Frye responded when asked if Nate fill the caveman bill. “He’s still trying to light the fire!”
Frye was known for his otherworldly toughness – a trait he seems in Nate Diaz. He even shared his top 5 toughest MMA fighters of all time – and both Diaz brothers made the cut.
“Don Frye, GSP, Dan Severn, [and] the two Diaz brothers,” Frye stated.
Paul vs Diaz goes down on Saturday, August 5 from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.
