Ilia Topuria Predicts First-Round Knockout Against Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 298 (video)
Ilia Topuria is a man with a plan – and otherwordly confidence in his right hand.
The surging undefeated featherweight is lined up for everything he’s been working for – a title shot against the 145 kingpin Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 298.
Funnily enough, both men were in attendance at Karate Combat 43 in Las Vegas – where Topuria spoke exclusively with Inside Fighting’s Andrew Capucetti about how he thinks the fight’s going to play out. Hint: the gameplan is very simple.
Ilia Topuria Says He’s Going to Knock Out Alexander Volkanovski
“I’m going to knock [Volkanovski] out in the first round,” Topuria stated. “It’s going to be a spectacular first round.”
Many people consider Volkanovski to be one of the greatest featherweights of all time – but Topuria already believes he’s the top dog at 145.
“I feel right now [that I’m the] king of the featherweight division,” Topuria proclaimed. “Right now. I already feel that I am.”
UFC 298 goes down on February 17th, 2024 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
