Mikey Garcia Shares Fight Pick for Errol Spence vs Terence Crawford
Former multi-weight class boxing world champion Mikey Garcia has a keen eye for picking fights – and loves the upcoming showdown between Errol Spence vs Terence Crawford.
“That’s a 50-50 fight,” Garcia told Inside Fighting’s Andrew Capucetti. “If I’m trying to pick a side, I’m going to have to say, Crawford. Not by a lot. Maybe just a few little things that he might be able to do.”
Errol Spence Jr. vs Terence Crawford goes down on Saturday, July 29, 2023 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The two undefeated boxers are leaving a lot on the line – not only risking their perfect records, but also their championship titles. Spence Jr. holds the WBC, WBA, and IBF welterweight belts, while Crawford holds the WBO welterweight strap.
Garcia, who once challenged for the IBF welterweight title, thinks it’s a razor-close matchup. He’s giving the edge to experience; the 22-year-old Spence Jr. comes into the bout at 28-0, while the 30-year-old Crawford sports a 39-0 record.
“[Crawford] by a little bit,” Garcia stated. “But it’s a close one, man!”
