The fans aren’t the only ones who think Vasiliy Lomachenko was robbed in his fight against Devin Haney. Loma himself – along with manager Igas Klimas – think the judges got the scorecards wrong. And they plan to do something about it.

Klimas and Loma spoke to Inside Fighting’s Andrew Capucetti after the bout in the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, explaining their plans to appeal the decision.

“Of course, he won!” exclaimed an animated Klimas. “No question!”

Like the crowd who witnessed the fight, Klimas wasn’t happy with the decision. “I am upset, of course. And we’re not going to let it go. We’re going to appeal, protest, of course!”

When asked if he thought he won, Loma replied, “I think [so].”

Fans and analysts were immediately calling for a rematch in what ended up being an instant classic, regardless of the controversial decision. However, Loma wasn’t dead set on an immediate rebooking.

“We’ll see, I don’t know,” Loma responded when asked if he wanted the rematch.

For what it’s worth, many in the MMA community believed that Loma should’ve been crowned the victor.
