CANELO ALVAREZ NOT RULING OUT NATE DIAZ FIGHT, MAYBE IN THE FUTURE!!!
Canelo Alvarez vs. Nate Diaz may seem like a pipe dream, but never say never.
Nate Diaz is the biggest free agent in the fight game – which is why Eddie Hearn wants to make a boxing megafight between the Pride of Stockton and Canelo Alvarez. It may seem farfetched for fight fans, but Canelo Alvarez himself kept the door open. Inside Fighting’s Andrew Capucetti caught up with Alvarez on the streets of Beverly Hills, where Canelo gave a surprising answer.
“Maybe in the future,” Canelo responded when asked about the Nate Diaz fight. He’s got goals in boxing first – including a rematch against Bivol – but didn’t close the door on a showdown with Diaz down the line.
Eddie Hearn called a speculative boxing bout between Canelo Alvarez and Nate Diaz one of “the biggest events in fight sports,” on the MMA Hour. “You’re talking about two legends of their chosen choice. And that’s boxing and MMA”
Fans around the world are waiting to see what Nate Diaz will do next – whether that’s a venture into boxing or another fight sport. One thing is for sure – the Canelo fight would be huge.
