Nate Diaz Acted in Self-Defense According to Representative
The New Orleans PD wants Nate Diaz after he choked out Rodney Petersen during a street altercation – but Diaz’s team has released a statement stating the MMA superstar acted in self-defense.
Nate Diaz’s rep, Zach Rosenfield, released a statement explaining that Nate and his attorney are cooperating with authorities in New Orleans to set the record straight.

“Nate’s attourney Walker Becker can confirm that Nate has received word of the arrest warrant and Becker has been in contact with court authorities in New Orleans,” the statement reads. “Nate’s attorney looks forward to presenting all of the facts about this incident to the District Attorney which clearly demonstrate that a trained fighter named Rodney Ptersen aggresively pursued Nate with the intention of engaging him and once doing so, Nate acted entirely in self-defense.”
The statement comes on the heels of new angles of the incident, in which Diaz secures a guilllotine choke after Petersen confronts him.
Rosenfield’s statement concludes that “no further comment will be made at this time.”
