ONE Fight Night 8: Superlek SLEEPS Williams, Allycia Rodrigues Unifies Muay Thai Atomweight Title
Rodtang’s replacement couldn’t hang with Superlek – who shut William’s lights off in round 3.
Fans of ONE Championship kickboxing were lined up for a super fight between Superlek and Rodtang – but after Rodtang pulled out due to injury, Daniel Williams stepped in. Unfortunately for the Thai-born Australian, he couldn’t fill Rodtang’s shoes – getting run over by Superlek in round 3. Superlek successfully retained his flyweight kickboxing title – setting the stage for the super fight with Rodtang down the line.
In the co-main event of ONE Fight Night 8, Allycia Rodrigues made a statement – unifying the atomweight Muay Thai title and proving that she’s one of the best female Nak Muays on the planet.
All the Finishes from ONE Fight Night 8
ONE Fight Night 8 featured two more brutal KOs outside of the main event.
The first one came courtesy of Eddie Abasolo, who provided the first finish of the event by putting Niclas Larsen’s lights out.
The only other finish on the card (aside from the main event) was secured by Akbar Abdullaev – making his ONE debut. He landed a picture-perfect uppercut to end his fight with Oh Ho Taek in under a minute.
